Trade Sales 2008

George Weil has been supplying retail businesses with a trade discount for a quarter of a century. We are very pleased to be able to continue offering a discount on products from DEKA, Jacquard and a range of handmade papers and journals from Papershed.

You will notice from the following list of suppliers’ names that some products can no longer be automatically included in our discount structure. However, if you have previously bought a product from us at discount, we will do our best to continue with the structure you have been used to.

Prices

The discount structure for trade customers is normally calculated on the ex VAT price. To help you to calculate the final price, we have also given an approximate discount for the price that is shown in the catalogue. The 2008 Fibrecrafts retail catalogue shows all prices including VAT.

Where items are not in the retail catalogue, but are made by one of the above brand names, we will be able to obtain the article especially for you. This means having to order a minimum quantity, such as a box of six, but the same brand discount will apply.

Trade Terms and Conditions:

References

The Trade discounts are only available to bona-fide retail businesses and proof of trading will therefore be required:
• Two credit references
• VAT number
• Established program of advertising in the National specialist or major local media

Please note, to ensure that trade accounts are effective in supporting retail outlets, the minimum initial trade order for goods is set at £200.00 ex VAT and we reserve the right to refuse trade terms at any time. A pro forma invoice will be sent and payment must be made before goods can be dispatched

Prices

• Prices are shown in the Fibrecrafts 2008 retail catalogue less the discount shown for each brand above
• We reserve the right to alter prices without prior notice
• Goods are offered subject to availability and specifications may be altered without notice
• All purchases are for resale only.

Dispatch

Our policy is to fill at least 95% of orders from stock within 3 working days of receiving your order. If the quantity you require is not currently available, or if an item is out of stock, we will inform you. An advice note will be included on your invoice and the goods will be forwarded when they are back in stock

Delivery and Charges

To ensure timely delivery and freedom from damage, we use a ‘next day’ delivery service for UK mainland deliveries. Delivery time is not predictable but will be before 5.30pm. Small order charges are based on the total order value:

• Orders below £100.00 ex VAT: £15.00
• Orders up to £199.99 ex VAT: £10.00
• Orders over £200.00 ex VAT: no order charge

Shortages and Non-delivery

Any claim for shortage, damage or non-delivery must be notified within 7 days of invoice date

Credit Terms/Overdue Payments

Credit terms are subject to status and references. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts.
• Payment can be made with a credit card at the time of ordering. Payments made with a credit card at a later date will incur a charge of 5% on the total order value
• Payment can be made via BACS or by cheque
• Payment must be within 30 days of the invoice date
• Interest will be charged at the minimum lending rate of National Westminster Bank plus 5% per anum
• Goods remain the property of George Weil & Sons Ltd, until such time that payment has been received in full. Title is retained over all goods previously supplied to the value of outstanding invoices

Returns

• Do not accept any package if it appears damaged and please notify us immediately if you have refused the package. It is always advisable to sign goods as ‘unexamined’. You must answer any enquiries from the carrier or we can not accept responsibility for compensation. The packing materials must be kept for the carrier’s inspection
• Goods will only be accepted for return by prior arrangement and a credit note will only be issued if the goods in question are in fit condition for resale
• Goods returned undamaged within 7 working days of receipt, and capable of resale at the full price, will be refunded at the full invoice value. A credit note will be issued for items that have been returned beyond 7 days. If you need to return any item, please advise us in advance.
• We reserve the right to make a re-stocking charge of 10% on returns unless they are faulty

Ordering Online

• If you have a George Weil Trade Account, you can place an order online.
• In the delivery section of the checkout, please write in the 'notes' field that you have a trade account.
• The retail total will be calculated and you will be asked to give full payment details at the checkout. No charge is made at that point. An email will be sent within 3 working days confirming the correct trade discounted order value, and this will be processed in the normal way. You can either pay by credit card on invoice or full payment will be due at the end of the following month.
